Designs unveiled for new Melton Hospital

The new Melton Hospital, set to transform healthcare in Melbourne’s west, is officially underway. Once complete, this state-of-the-art facility will provide care for up to 130,000 patients annually, with almost 60,000 expected to utilise its 24-hour emergency department services. The hospital will be Victoria’s first all-electric hospital and include an intensive care unit, maternity and neonatal services, mental health and radiology services and a new education and training hub.

Scharp is proud to contribute to this landmark project by delivering high-quality CGI renders and fly-through animations that bring to life the inspiring vision of the Capella-led Exemplar Health Consortium. Working closely with architects, Design Inc Melbourne and Architectus Conrad Gargett, we created a suite of visuals that offer a glimpse into key areas of the hospital, including the main entrance, façade, foyer, patient rooms and waiting areas, highlighting the thoughtful design and functionality that underpin this project.

Designed to be a place of healing, learning and living, the hospital draws from the local landscape and ecosystems to create a space that fosters strong connections to nature and Country. More than 1,000 ideas from community consultations helped shape the designs, ensuring that the new hospital truly reflects the needs and aspirations of its future users.
