Scharp Delivers Australia’s Largest Bids
Scharp are proud to announce a record year of delivering the largest bid projects Australia has ever seen. From Perth to Brisbane, these major projects will change the landscapes and skylines of their cities and bring Australia to the world stage.
Scharp’s creative team have been working tirelessly in their Sydney and Melbourne studios, to deliver state-of-the-art digital bids to help bring their plans to life and realise architectural visions for the future.
“We have established ourselves as leaders in delivering 3D renders and fly-through animations over the past 15 years,” said Malcolm Schapel, Managing Director of Scharp.
“Combined with our team of in-house designers, app developers and motion graphics artists, we have been delivering informative, well thought-out digital bids that are becoming a force to be reckoned with.”
The most recent major project bid Scharp has delivered is the Queens Wharf Precinct for the consortium of Echo Entertainment, Far East Consortium, and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises. The bid, with a budget set at over $1b, was presented to the State Government of Queensland last month and is set to transform the Brisbane River’s Northern Bank into a world-class waterside entertainment precinct, which is due to be decided upon early next year.
Looking West to another bid, Scharp worked alongside the representatives of the Westadium team, which included Brookfield Financial and John Laing Investments, to secure the winning Perth Stadium submission.
The bid included delivering its digital interactive bid inclusive of 3D renders, movie, interactive iPad App, 4D construction sequence and executive summary brochure. With a budget of $902.4m (consisting of $820.7m for the stadium and $81.7m for the sports precinct, plus $16m for project management), the new Perth Stadium is set to be a world-class five-tiered stadium with roof coverage.
“Scharp’s capacity to work on large bids in short timeframes to deliver high-quality digital collateral is second to none,” said Malcom. “We are known in the industry to be able to break down the complex design into simple, interesting and evocative presentations. We always deliver on time and on budget which is testament to the people that we work with such as Lend Lease, Brookfield Multiplex, Cbus and Echo Entertainment.”
Scharp was also behind delivery of the interactive bid for The Sydney International Convention, Exhibition and Entertainment Precinct (SICEEP); a 22-hectare site located on Darling Harbour, stretching south to connect with Ultimo’s main retail precinct.
“Scharp was responsible for the strategy and deliverables for SICEEP’s digital bid, submitting six iPads, together with a PC version, for government viewing. As well as our interactive app, we were also responsible for producing all of the high quality 3D marketing collateral, all within a tight timeframe,” said Malcolm.
